Our History

"Fellowship Lutheran Church is established to involve people in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ by sharing the Good News of God's grace through our fellowship in worship, study and service."

Fellowship Lutheran Church is a congregation of the Southern Ohio Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). It began as a new ministry of the Lutheran Church in America (LCA) in 1979 and was chartered and received as a congregation of the Synod in 1980.

The congregation met in the Northwest Career Center on Cranston Drive in Dublin, Ohio until it moved into the first unit of its present building on Sawmill Road in February of 1986. Offices were in the parsonage on Sarahurst Drive in Dublin until that time.

Pastor John Evans served as our Pastor/Developer until his retirement in 1982. Pastor Doug Campbell served our congregation from 1983 through 1987 and Pastor Mark Keller served from 1989 though 1990. Pastor Michael Sayre was called as our pastor in April of 1991.

The living Word of God, Jesus Christ, remains at the center of all that we do at Fellowship. He gives us a strong sense of purpose and stability in a changing world.

Fellowship is a growing congregation which seriously attempts to live up to the Biblical concept of "Koinonia" (fellowship) which is behind its name. "Koinonia" expresses the uniqueness of our fellowship which is centered in God's Word and which serves him by calling others into a life-giving relationship with him.
